Laurel graduated from UVA in 1997 and met her husband, Matthias, while they were Teach for America Corps Members in the Rio Grande Valley. Before returning to Charlottesville in 2007, Laurel lived in Texas, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Maui. No stranger to moving, she understands that the process of buying & selling real estate is a business transaction which she refines through market expertise, well developed negotiation skills and marketing/ design savvy. However, the moving experience can be an emotional one, and Laurel strives to hear each client’s specific needs to provide attentive, proactive service throughout the process. In her work life, she has found nothing more rewarding than building relationships while helping clients achieve their real estate goals.
Laurel has raised 3 children and 2 dogs in Albemarle County and is a resource for athletics, the arts and academic support. In her free time, Laurel can be found mixing cocktails, enjoying the C’ville culinary scene, running, visiting her boys in NYC & LA, watching her daughter swim, planning travel or developing her pickleball skills with Matthias.
